Teacup Dogs Accessories and Things to Avoid

Teacup dogs are cute and adorable because of their small size and fragile nature; you can take them with you anywhere without worrying that they will be aggressive to other people or end up messing people’s stuff. Now, once you take your pet home, there are accessories you should avoid so that your pet doesn’t get hurt. Here are some:

  • Dog collars: To add to the cuteness of your little puppy. You may want to experiment with different colors and varieties of collars. However, that collar could put pressure on the dog’s neck and trachea leading to intense coughing and wheezing or more serious health complications. The best and safety accessory to go for is a harness.
  • Certain food supplies: Unlike the ordinary large dogs, teacups eat small amount of nutritious foods frequently. Types of food that could lead to serious poisoning and subsequent death in extreme cases include chocolate, sugar free candies, grapes and raisons.
  • Human shampoos: Your puppy will require regular baths but you should not attempt to use your shampoo on them because it may cause detrimental effects to their respiratory system. It is advisable to always bath them in dog shampoos.

If you want to enjoy the look on people’s faces as they adore your teacup dog, you will have to take extra care with the accessories you buy and use with it.
