Teacup dogs seem to be the newest trend in town with celebrities carrying them around in handbags. It’s amusing how people adore the teacup Chihuahuas, teacup poodles and other types of these little dogs. Now, before you buy this kind of pet, you need to understand that unlike ordinary dogs, teacups are very fragile and they need to have a comfortable home.

One of the things you’ll need for the teacup is grooming supplies depending on its coat. If yours has a short and firm coat, you do not have to brush it frequently but for those with long haired coats, you will have to dedicate a good amount of time for grooming. You can also do with scissors to trim the hair and leave the teacup looking all neat and clean. Just like other dogs, your teacup requires regular baths done with special dog shampoos.

Because of its small size, you will also need to buy a dog purse or shoulder bag to carry it along with you; trying to take a walk with it is not a wise idea because it could be attacked by larger animals or be stepped on by people in the street.

Your teacup will obviously need to feed well with healthy foods such as eggs, milk, vegetables and fruits.

Since a teacup is quite fragile, it requires accessories to keep it cute and healthy.
